What is the Lieberman Award?


The Lieberman Award, created by the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry, is awarded to the best construction project in the Country.   It is a recognition to the professional and creative capabilities of a construction company. This award also recognizes the ability of a company to solve problems, to organize and to prepare the staff, to achieve excellent quality, and the application of appropiate methods and technologies to improve a project.
 

CONSTRUPLAN was responsible for managing the Pilares project and the construction of the wollastonite process plant for Fording Coal of Canada (US $120 million). The Pilares plant continues to be most productive and profitable plant of its type.

 

 

...and we won the award!!!

CONSTRUPLAN carried out all earth movement activities for land leveling and channeling, water lines, foundations, general concrete, mechanic equipment instalations, conveyor belts, crushing machines, and all stainless steel and polyproplene pipe lines.
We also coordinated structural projects, electrical finishings, automation, laying out of 62 kilometers of a 6" gas line, and support during commisioning.
The construction of these facilities meant the Award for CONSTRUPLAN in 1999 and was delivered to our Chairman Alfonso Reina, by our then President of Mexico, Ernesto Zedillo. The award was given for best performance in the fields of innovation in information management, "Fast Track" project administration and detail engineering on site.
